Cinematographers

The majority of our projects are documentary style videos that are produced for nonprofits and corporations. The project team is typically divided into an interview team and a b roll team. The responsibilities for these teams are as follows:

Interview Team:

  • Survey client location for visually appealing interview set ups.

  • Compose and set up 2 camera angle interview shot with 3 point lighting.

  • Capture high quality audio using a boom mic or lav.

  • Trouble shoot any technical issues that may arise.

  • Breakdown and setup additional interview shoots as needed.

B Roll Team:

  • Review background material: target audience, purpose and messaging.

  • Collaborate with the Director on determining b roll scenarios that will support the video’s vision.

  • Directing b roll shoots - will likely include client staff and customers.

  • Knowledge of advance camera techniques and how to appropriately pair them to the vision of the video - drone, gimbal, handheld, slo-motion, time laps, etc.

Video Editors

The majority of our projects are documentary style videos that are produced for nonprofits and corporations. We work exclusively on Final Cut Pro.

Responsibilities:

  • Review background material: target audience, purpose and messaging.

  • Set up Final Cut Pro Project with multi-cam interviews and b roll.

  • Review and tag interviews based on the creative outline and interview guide.

  • Assemble narrative of select interview clips.

  • Create draft that pairs interview clips with b roll and appropriate music.

  • Color correction and sound mixing are a bonus but not a requirement.
